Being a pinterest addict (like everyone else!) I stumbled upon a few cute ideas, and after talking to mom we decided on one.
~Homemade Hot Coco in a jar~
There were a couple of things that weighed our decision.
~(almost) everything in jars is CUTE!
~Hot coco makes your tummy happy
~Mom told me about how Grandma would make it for them (7kids) growing up bc they couldn't afford store bought, and she would make HUGE batches
So the first batch I made was from this blog, and I was so excited because it looked adorable. I threw it together last min for Christians co-workers. I even made different flavors to suite the person receiving:
~Moca (added instant coffee)
~Peppermint (added chopped up peppermint kisses)
~Cinnamon
~Mexican (added cinnamon and chili powder)
I was so proud of these and handed them out with joy, then the next day, I TASED ONE....
Yep, probably should have done that first.
It wasn't bad!! Just not very sweet :(
I was SO embarrassed that I handed out something that was NOT amazing! Slap on my hand.
ROUND 2
Mom and I got together, found a new recipe that we tasted and loved. (here) (we used peppermint creamer)
After sifting every ingredient (oh man my hand was tired!) We formed an assembly line, one person fills, and adds marshmallow and the other person cleans off the jar and seals.
Of course they needed a ribbon, we decided on hemp. I loved the rustic feel of hemp with the glass jar.
Then added tags. TaDa!
Cute right?
Let me know if you didn't get yours, I still have a few!
